She grew up in Edinburgh and started working at age 15 at Schaefer’s Drug Store doing displays. This started her working career. She married John E. She has 10 living grandchildren, 1 deceased grandchild and several great grandchildren.
After the children started school, she went to work for C. P. Electronics until they closed and then she went to work for Cosco. She worked for most of her life.
An artisan at heart, Gladys spent countless hours creating beautiful pieces with her sewing. Her passion also extended to collecting dolls, each one chosen with thoughtfulness. She enjoyed shopping thrift stores and getting bargains. Her home was her pride and joy as it was decorated like a showroom.
Gladys will be laid to rest in Resthaven Cemetery in Edinburgh beside her husband with private family services.

She was very picky about her hair well alot of things but I loved she was still seen this way even after she passed
She loved dressing all us grandaughters greats in ruffled dresses and socks and dress coats with hats like her own personal dolls
