Glenda Jeweldean Holtzlider, 78, of Columbus, passed away Tuesday morning, February 4, 2020, at Majestic Health Care with her loving family by her side. She was born in Clay County, Tennessee, on May 1, 1941, daughter of the late John and May Cross. She is survived by sisters; Wanda (James) Pickett, Linda Jolly, and Vonda Wood, and many nieces and nephews. She will be lovingly received by her parents, brothers, Paul, Alvin, Gene, Dennis, and sister Opal Atkins. Glenda married Paul Holtzlider on August 8, 1987, at Fellowship Baptist Church where she was a member for many years. She was a remarkable mother to Bryan (Melissa) Cross; step-mother to Paula (Keith) Owen and Bryan Holtzlider as well as a kind and giving grandmother to Dustin (Melanie) Rea, Kelsea (Tyler) Criswell, Taylor Cross, Keenen and Alana Owen, and great-grandaughter, Seychel Rea. She enjoyed traveling to gospel concerts in her home states of Kentucky and Tennessee with her husband. She loved bird watching, cooking for her family, and studying the Bible. She will be greatly missed for her gracious heart, sense of humor, listening ear, and big hugs. Funeral services will be held at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home Monday, February 10, 2020, at 3:00 P.M. Visitation will be at the funeral home 1:00 P.M. until time of service. Burial services to follow at Flat Rock Cemetery. Donations can be made to Hospice of Jennings County in lieu of flowers.
