Glendal R. Hadley, 90, of Columbus, passed away December 8, 2020, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Glen was born February 26, 1930 in Jamestown, Kentucky, the son of Arthur and Lucy Davis Hadley. He married the love of his life, Dorothy Murphy, on December 29, 1953. Glen was an exceptionally good person, who never met a stranger. He loved bluegrass music, spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He especially loved going on trips with his daughter Cheryl to Kentucky. Glen is survived by sons, Richard D. Sutton of Omaha, Nebraska, James David Hadley of Columbus, a daughter, Cheryl K. McCain of Columbus; a son-in-law, Larry D. Kent of Maryland; grandchildren, Billie L. Hadley, James D. Hadley II, Lori R. (Tim) Miller, Kimberly A. (Donnie) Stungis, and Sheri L. (T.J.) Jensen; great-grandchildren, Timmy Miller Jr., Michael Kent, Sarah Stungis, Jay Jensen, Jacob Wilson, Kenna Jensen, Dara McCleary, Isaiah Tessereau, Noah McCleary, Alexander Wade, Kameron Baker, and Adrianna Baker; great-great-grandchildren Izabella Kent, Carter Kent, Halle Kent, Xavier Moore, Aubrie Ford and Ayva Ford; a brother Donald Hadley of Massachusetts; as well as a sister Margaret Henson of Elizabethtown. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Dorothy Jean Hadley on January 19, 2016; daughters, Linda D. Kent and Janet S. Roscoe; a daughter-in-law Gloria C. Sutton; grandsons, Sean E. Kent, Darin L. Kent, Mark A. Kent, and Matthew J. Roscoe; great-grandson, Christopher D. Kent; great-granddaughters, Samantha F. Ford and Jamie M. Kent; as well as three brothers William, Charles, and Junior Hadley. The funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2020 at the Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of services Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Donaldson Cemetery in Bartholomew County. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army. I think I will always remember how glenn would always have the camera around his neck taking pictures of everyone and he was always getting tickled about the grandkids and he always made sure to get the basketball out of garage for Jacob to play ball out back we love and miss you so much glenn ❤️ love Jennifer wilson and Jacob Eric kent wilson
