  1. Miss Gracie will be missed at Second Baptist Church where she was a faithful member for years…and served as an usher until her could not let her. She enjoyed being an usher and greeting people as they enter in the sanctuary. I admired her faithfulness to God and will miss her conversations . RIP
    Rev. Toby Ann Branom

  2. I met Gracie at the 9th street Park, Sidewalk Sunday school many years ago. She loved to work with the kids. She always wanted to help at St. Peter’s with VBS. When it came close to that week in June, I got a call or visit from Gracie on her bicycle. What a beautiful smile she had for everyone. One year when she couldn’t make it due to health reasons, I got her a T-shirt that she wore as a badge of honor.
One time I saw her waiting for the bus and I took her home.
What a sweetheart. I know she is dancing with Jesus in heaven.
    Kathy Peters
Former Director of Children’s Ministry at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church
