Greg Baker, 63, of Columbus, died at 3:33 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2023, at Belmont Health and Rehabilitation.
Greg was born January 16, 1960, the son of Alex and Betty Jean Shireman Baker.
Greg worked in the trucking industry for Boling Trucking. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and IU basketball. Greg was a simple, hard-working man. He was a very patriotic man and proud to be an American.
The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Jewell Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Raymond Dupree officiating. Calling will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.
Survivors include sons, Tim Baker and Aaron Baker, both of North Vernon; Siblings, Jerald (Brenda) Baker, and Libby (Gene) Hays, of Columbus, Alex (Judy) Baker, of Valrico, Florida, Beverly (Clay) Calhoun, of Sunman, IN., David (Cindy) Baker, of Edinburgh, IN.; and a companion, Elsie Wheeler.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

greg was a loyal friend , he ran sound and lights for me and my brothers bands back in the 90s he was always alot of fun and and he didnt mind telling it like it is we had a blast for 2 or 3 years playing all over indiana with greg, we even had him getting up on stage at one point of the night and doing turn the page just him and a guitar, and you didnt want to bad mouth the band around greg during the night cause would put you in there place lol, i could go on believe me, i probably already went to long.
