SERVICES: A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Garland Brook Cemetery with the Rev. Wes Jones officiating. MEMORIALS: Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana. Harrod Donald Adams, 89, of Central Avenue, formerly of Baseline Road, died at 1:15 p.m. Saturday, August 31, 2013, at Willow Crossing Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Bartholomew County, February 26, 1924, the son of the late Doris E. and Mildred Swango Adams. Harrod was a lifelong resident of Bartholomew County and lived at home with his parents all his life. He was a retired farmer and an avid Purdue and Columbus basketball fan. He was of Christian faith and enjoyed the simple things in life. He is survived by a niece, Jeannie (Alvin) Sitterding of Columbus; great-nephews, Joe (Traci) Sitterding of Columbus, and Tim (Jan) Sitterding of Freetown; great-great-niece and great-great-nephew, Julia Sitterding and Jacob Sitterding. Harrod was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Eva Thomas.
