Harry M. Williams May 02, 1918 - February 03, 2010 Harry M. Williams, 91, of Elizabethtown, died at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Mr. Williams, a veteran of the Army, retired after 54 years with United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. He was a graduate of Phil Campbell High School, attended Alabama State University and was a member of East Columbus United Methodist Church, Hope Masonic Lodge and Columbus Order of the Eastern Star. Born in Franklin County, Ala., May 2, 1918, Mr. Williams was the son of Walter and Alice Moses Williams. He married Marie Emmert Nov. 25, 1942. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Karen Helton of Elizabethtown; grandchildren, Alan Williams, Gregory (Connie) Williams, Kathryn (Bill) Gates, Brian (Teresa) Helton and Brad (Tricia) Helton; and great-grandchildren, Evan Williams, Courtney Williams, Morgan Williams, William Gates, Emily Gates, Adam Helton, Drew Helton and Jake Helton. He was preceded in death by a son, Harlon "Will" Williams. Funeral Information A graveside service for family and friends will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Garland Brook Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Aigner officiating. There will be no calling. MEMORIAL SERVICE: East Columbus United Methodist Church at a later date, pending the return of a grandson who is out of the country.
