Herbert H. Lee June 27, 1928 - January 20, 2007 Herbert H. Lee, 78, of Lucas Way, Columbus, Ind., died at 1:40 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Herb was born in Burkesville, Ky. and raised in Columbus, Ind. He was an Air Force veteran. Herb was previously employed at Noll Motors and Doyle Todd. He owned several service stations and automotive garages, Hertz Rent a Car and other businesses. He was most recently employed at Kroger Supermarket. Mr. Lee was born June 27, 1928 in Burkesville, Ky., the son of Gordon and Mary Melton Lee. He married Kathleen McCue on Oct. 22, 1982. Survivors include his wife; daughters, Julie (Michael) Bayless of Tennessee and Judy (Alan) Butler of Maine; a brother, Roger (Hazel) Lee of Columbus, Ind.; and sisters, Velma Hoskinson of Franklin, Ind. and Anne Mae Grider of Columbus, Ind. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Juanita Lee; and brothers, Tom Lee, James Lee and Allen Lee. Funeral Information FUNERAL: Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home, with Pastor Andy McCracken officiating. VISITATION: Monday; January 22, 2007 from 4 to 8 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday. ENTOMBMENT: Garland Brook Cemetery Mausoleum.
