Mr. Phillips is survived by his wife, Alma Bell Phillips; a son, Garry L. (Carol) Phillips of Indianapolis; a brother, Kermit Phillips of Kemper, Ky.; sisters, Geneva Lell of Pilot, Va. and Nola Hatfield of Inez, Ky.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
