Herbert W. Holley

  Herbert W. Holley, 79, of Columbus, died at 6:15 p.m. January 11, 2019, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Herbert was born March 12, 1939, in Kentucky, the son of William and Magdaline Bragg Holley. He married Della Mobley December 5, 1959, and she preceded him in death December 25, 2016.He retired from Cummins Engine Company after 30 years of service and owned and operated Holley’s Landscaping. Herbert was a member of First Baptist Church of Taylorsville.Herbert enjoyed restoring antique vehicles and spending time with his buddies and grandson at the Waffle House. He was devoted to his Lord, his family and friends. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Collett officiating. Calling will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society in memory of Herbert. Survivors include his son, Jeff Holley and daughters, Angela (Randy) Feldmann and Crissy Holley, all of Columbus; brother, Stanley (Marita) Holley of Columbus and sisters, Darlene (Roy) Burton of Columbus, Shirley (Jim) Burnette of Illinois, Barbara (Jeff) Stephens of Illinois and Janet “Sue” (Debbie) Holley of Columbus; grandchildren, Stephanie (Matt) Park and Nicholas Feldmann; and great-grandchild, Jackson Park. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Della; a brother, John L. Holley; and a grandchild, Joshua Feldmann.
