Ina Marie Wooten

Ina Marie Wooten, 89, of Crothersville, died on Wednesday, March 9, at Lutheran Community Home Forest Path.
Marie was born on May 8, 1932, in Somerset, Kentucky, the daughter of George and Inez (Holt) Rodgers. She married Goble Wooten in Santa Monica, California, on August 12, 1949. Marie was a homemaker and a minister’s wife.
She enjoyed reading and was an excellent cook. She was a member of the Austin Pilgrim Holiness Church, Austin, IN.
The funeral will be at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 13, 2022, at Crothersville Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Mark Wooten and Rev. Mike Brown officiating. Calling will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Saturday, March 12, 2022, at the church and one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Crothersville Cemetery.
Survivors include her seven children. Daughters, Lyndia (Rocky) Huffine of Crothersville, IN and Deborah (George) Papp of Maple Heights, OH. Sons, Travis (Kathy) Wooten of Crothersville, IN, George (Barb) Wooten of Seymour, IN, Stephen (Debbie) Wooten of Crothersville, IN, Mark (Pam) Wooten of Seymour, IN, Todd (Dawn) Wooten of Scottsburg, IN; 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. Marie is also survived by one sister, Georgetta Burroughs of Louisville, Kentucky.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Goble Wooten, of 65 years, her parents and siblings: brothers, Thurman and James Rogers; sisters, Ella Mae Sutherland, Mary Lou Clemens, Anna Lee Clemens, Jewel Gover, Myrtle Meece, and Betty Jo Vanskaik.

I loved hearing the story about my middle name.
