Irene was born April 7, 1939 in Perry County, Ky. the daughter of Fred and Mary (Adkins) DeHart. Irene retired from Cummins Engine Company Walesboro Plant in 2005. She was a member of the Westside Community Church. She enjoyed biking and walking. When Irene was younger she was a beautician and a real estate agent. Irene is survived by a daughter, Desiree Johnson of Louisville, Ky.; grandchildren, Justin Johnson and Aaron Johnson, both of Louisville, Ky.; a great-grandchild; and a brother, Clarence DeHart of Flagler Beach, Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, James DeHart; and sisters, Sally Melton and Bessie Barger. Funeral Information FUNERAL SERVICES: Will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Aud officiating. VISITATION: Will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday. BURIAL: Will be at Daugherty Cemetery.
