FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:00 a.m. Thursday April 6, 2017 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral HomeVISITATION: 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral homeFINAL RESTING PLACE: Garland Brook CemeteryMEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS: Fancy Bryant education fund through the funeral home Jackie Dean "Jack" Bryant, 60, of Columbus, died at 6:41 p.m. April 1, 2017, at Columbus Regional Hospital.   Jackie was born September 18, 1956, in Columbus, the son of Ralph and Gloria J. Hayden Bryant. He married Sue Petro November 25, 2002.   He was currently employed at Cummins Engine Company on the LDD line and had won several awards while working there.   He loved drag racing with his 1979 Chevette, “His Baby”, which he built and drove himself.   The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Calling hours will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.   Memorials may be made to the education fund for Fancy Bryant through the funeral home.   Survivors include his wife, Sue; sons, Marc Bryant of North Vernon; Brandon Goins of Hope and J.D. Bryant of Columbus; stepsons, John “Bobby” Grider of Columbus and Jason Grider of Plainfield; daughters, Amanda Redford and Angela Grider, both of Columbus and Fancy Bryant, who still lives at home; brothers, Jerry (Billie) Bryant of Florida, Wayne (Carolyn) Bryant of Maryland, Dave (Tammy) Bryant of North Vernon and Mike (Billie) Bryant of Columbus; a sister, Kay (Phillip) Baucom of Tennessee; and grandchildren, Jordon, Jace, Nova, Nevaeh, Devin and Rilie.   He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jason Bryant; and a sister, Brenda Gail Bryant.
