Jade Lee Weed, 31, of Columbus, died at 12:54 p.m. Sunday, February 28th, 2021. Jade was born May 3, 1989 in Seymour, the son of Douglas Allen Weed and Tammy Jean (Wayt) Thomas. Jade was employed at NTN as a machinist and programmer. He was a member of Spraytown Methodist Church in Spraytown, Indiana. Jade loved everything and anything that had to do with the outdoors. Jade lived for his kids. If his kids were happy, then he was happy. Dirt bikes and motorcycles were a favorite pastime. A loving son, father and brother, Jade will be greatly missed by all that knew him. The funeral will be at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 7th, 2021 at Jewell-Rittman with his sister, Veronica Sievers officiating. Calling will be from 2:00 until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be private. Survivors include his mother Tammy (Richard) Thomas of Carmel, and a step father, Larry Long; a son, Michael Dillon Weed; daughters, Layla Marie Weed of Muncie, Everly Rose Weed and Elizabeth Schneider both of Columbus; brothers, Jeremy (Shelby Gorbett) Weed of Columbus, Colton Daniel Thomas of Carmel; Cody Ghuman (Weed) of Columbus and Jack Sievers of Fairland, Indiana; a sister, Veronica (Devan) Sparks of Columbus, and a grandmother, Vicki Wayt of Seymour. He was preceded in death by his father; brothers, Michael Grissom and Bryant Jahrries; a niece, Kaylee Perry, and a grandfather, Ronald Wayt. Services were entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home would like to thank everyone in advanced for wearing masks and practicing social distancing while attending gatherings. Current state guidelines require that we limit our gatherings to 100 people. Please be understanding if you are asked to wait outside of our building to meet state requirements.   1. I had the pleasure of meeting jade in our recovery group he had a amazing heart and loved his kids dearly if anybody needed help or someone to talk to he would go outta his way to be there he will def be missed on this end the world list a amazing person

  2. Hey uncle Jade I miss you a lot. You are one of my best friends. I remember when you had all of us kids and you let us stay up all night with you and play games and eat candy. I love you uncle Jade.
