Juanita and family, I am sorry to hear about the loss of your father and husband. My God give you peace and strength during this time. I am not sure if you know of not, but we lost our dad in March of this year.

SERVICES: A memorial service will be held at The Rock Free Methodist Church July 20, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Brian Buterbaugh officiating. VISITATION: 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at the church on Saturday. MEMORIALS: Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or Ignite Student Ministries at the The Rock Free Methodist Church. James A. Compton, 81, of Smith Street, died and went to be with his Lord July 16, 2013, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Jim worked at Arvin Industries for 43 years. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Carolyn J. Compton; his brother, Hearl Compton; sisters, Sophia Henderson, Rosie (Elmer) Mayes, Dee (Don) Osborne, Leo Bartley and Nordina (Mike) Wilkins; sons, James (Nanette) Compton, Jeffrey (Kerry) Compton, Jerry (Linda) Compton and Janita (Delvin) Roberts; grandchildren, Michael (Kari) Compton, Sara (Cody) Maddox, Daniel (Amanda) Roberts, Alan Roberts, Chrystal Compton, and Amber (Tom) Perez; and nine great-grandchildren. James was preceded in death by a son, his parents, two brothers, and one sister.
