Esparza, 40, of California Street, died at 12:10 a.m. April 6, 2017, at Columbus Regional Hospital. James was born October 2, 1976, in Indianapolis, the son of Guillermo and Bertha Esparza. He married Ashley Fields on September 26, 2013. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed his music (LOUD). He loved joking around with all of his guys on the painting crew. He was a family man and cherished spending time with his wife and children, who were his world. Survivors include his wife, Ashley, parents, Guillermo and Bertha of California; sons, Kamdyn Fields and Kasyn Esparza, both of Columbus; daughters, Ashley Collis of Kentucky, and Alicia Esparza and Raeauna Esparza, both of Indianapolis; grandmother, Charlene Benham of Indianapolis; brothers, Will Esparza, Guillermo Esparza Jr. and Jerry Esparza, all of California, and Doug Woodward of Indianapolis; sisters, Amanda Woodward of Indianapolis and Sugey Esparza of California; aunt, Cassie Benham – Lightner; father and mother in law, Russ and Virginia Dixon; brother in law, Adam Atwood.






I will miss you for the rest of this life I have…..you were my ACE through the good and the bad. Rest Easy J Mo…..Ill see you again one day, Im sure of that.
Jamie Esparza you was the best cuz anyone could ask for you taught me a lot and was there for me when I needed you made me realize that you work hard to survive and could make a poor kid feel rich was a baller had some real nice stuff and always had my back hate to see you go wished I could have spent more time with you and your family I love you and always will rest in peace cuz see you when I get there your big cuz joe
