Booker, 77, of Edinburgh, died at 6:00 a.m. Monday, January 25, 2016, at his home.Jim was born December 3, 1938 in Owen County, Indiana, the son of Perry Eugene and Edna (Neighty) Booker. He married Mildred Faye Bault November 27, 1968. Jim was employed at Cummins Engine Company for 33 years as a machinst and attended Edinburgh Apostolic Tabernacle for 45 1/2 years. His love for travel allowed him to visit 48 states, Canada and Mexico and he knew the U.S.A. well enough that he never got lost. Jim and Midge enjoyed whitewater rafting in Colorado and Canada. Jim loved his grandkids and great-grandkids. Survivors include his wife, Midge; sons, Jeremy (Wendy) Booker of Taylorsville and Robert (Eva) Bailey of Edinburgh; daughter, Bylinda (Doug) Lemon of Greenwood; sisters, Fran (Jim) Howard of Morristown, Tennessee, Phyllis (Jim) Dorman of Campbellsville, Kentucky and Roberta (Emmitt) Clark of Edmond, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Ashley (Matt) Mundy of Avon, MerSadies Myers of Edinburgh, Autumn Lemon of Greenwood, MunSie Myers of Hope, Douglas Lemon and his fiancée Tasha Webster of Greenwood, Kelsey (Ryan) Lewis of Austin, MaSie Myers and her fiancé Brandon Wardwell of Carmel, Kelli Booker of Columbus, MerKeyta, MaSon and MerSie Booker all of Taylorsville and Elizabeth Bailey of Edinburgh; and great grandchildren, Caroline Taylor of Edinburgh, Jayden Lewis of Austin, Landon and Liam Mundy of Avon and Serenity Myers of Columbus.Jim was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Barbara Frank.
