James Lowell Perkinson November 03, 1941 - July 10, 2009 James Lowell Perkinson, affectionately known to many as Bamboom, 67, died Friday, July 10, 2009, in North Little Rock, Ark. James graduated from Columbus High School in 1960. He then attended IUPUI where he received a degree in Engineering. He retired from Cummins Engine Company in 1991. He was a avid fisherman, golfer, and enjoyed NASCAR. He loved his family above all else. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Sebring, Fla. Mr. Perkinson was born November 3, 1941, in Scott County, Indiana, the son of Charles Perkinson and Bertha Gibson Perkinson-Bradley. He married Judith Manley July 27, 1963. Survivors include his wife, Judith Manley Perkinson; his mother, of Columbus; a son, Jay (Wendy Murphy) Perkinson of West Islip, N.Y.; daughters, Jamie (Richard) Knight of Lavon, Texas, Jessica (P.J.) Davise of Lake Placid, Fla. and Shelby Perkinson of Lavon, Texas; a brother, Rick (Dixie) Perkinson of Columbus, Ind.; a sister, Joyce Winters of Columbus, Ind.; grandchildren, Stephanie and Lexi Knight, both of Lavon, Texas, and Jay Stephens of Lake Placid, Fla.; stepfather, Arthur Bradley of Columbus, Ind.; and six stepbrothers and stepsisters; brother-in-law Jerry (Jackie) Manley of Sebring, Fla. Mr. Perkinson was preceded in death by his father; and in-laws, Wayne Manle, Doritha Manley-Joseph and Earl Joseph. Funeral Information FUNERAL: Will be conducted Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Aigner officiating. VISITATION: Will be Tuesday, July 14, 2009, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services. BURIAL: Will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
