Saturday at the funeral home MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS: American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) James M. Hill, 64, of County Road 300S, died at 8:44 p.m. Monday, August 25, 1024, at his home in Columbus. James was born July 12, 1950, in Indianapolis, the son of James Chester and Roeita Jean Foist Hill. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps and, after receiving an Honorable Discharge from the Marines, worked as a carpenter doing construction. James enjoyed collecting guns and knives, leatherworking, and riding his Harley. When he was younger, he also enjoyed sketching and drawing. Survivors include his mother, Roeita Jean Foist Lyle of Columbus; sons, Jeremy, Skyhawk, Ricky, Randy and Robbie; daughters, Michelle and Jamie; a brother, Dennis (Sheri) Hill; sisters, Joyce (Revis) Underwood and Nancy Caldwell; and eleven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, James Chester Hill.
