How can we begin to imagine walking up Mill Branch without seeing Jim’s beaming smile? Arms extended, full of energy, ready to embrace the world. Our Daddys (Uncle Thurston and James Otis Davis) were brothers. Our Mothers (Maxine Whitaker and Mary Jane Whitaker)were first cousins. Jim and my Daddy shared the same name, “Jim Davis”. “Here I am!” Jim would say to me, “Another Jim Davis!”. Jim was a kind and loving man who always shared his joy with others. His legacy of love will continue to flourish in the hearts of our Davis family. My husband and I send our prayers and love to Jim’s beautiful wife, Oveta, and to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. May God Bless you and sustain you during this difficult time.
