  1. Jim and I were boyhood friends, 15 months apart, living in Bedford, Indiana. We watched IU basketball and ate Chesty potato chips in front of the TV. Ping Pong was our game of choice–when we weren’t playing “horse” basketball. Good fortune later on, allowed me to officiate at Bev and Jim’s wedding. Our lives came together again when Jim and Bev attended Wertz Church where I was a pastor in Columbus, Indiana. Years may have separated us, but friendships don’t die. My first, best friend is appreciated for his steadfastness in so many areas of his life. For the gift of our caring and believing in one another, I will remain always, deeply grateful.

  2. I remember him as “Big Jim”. I will truly miss him and hoping to see his wife as he truly loved her and would look for her return. Much sadness to all the family in this time of trials but he truly made a place in all of out hearts. thank you for letting us care for him. Love from the bunch at Silver Oaks
