Janet Standish Guthrie April 22, 1915 - November 03, 2007 Janet Standish Guthrie, 92, of Fort Wayne, formerly of Bedford and Columbus, died at 3:22 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007, at Renaissance Center in Fort Wayne. A longtime member of First Lutheran Church, Mrs. Guthrie was a graduate of Bedford High School, retired from Indiana University School of Radio and Television and was a member of Order of the Eastern Star. Born in Salem April 22, 1915, Mrs. Guthrie was the daughter of Clinton Silas and Bertha Vellon Standish. She married Carl H. Guthrie in September 1938. He preceded her in death Feb. 7, 2004. Survivors include a son, Carl Bill (Sharon Garrison) Guthrie of Goldsboro, N.C.; a daughter, Mary (Steven) Guthrie Minnick of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Mark Andrew and Bradley Scott Guthrie, Steven Vincent Minnick and Lisa Minnick Armstrong; a brother, Lee Standish of California, Md.; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral Information FUNERAL: A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. today at Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington with the Rev. Jerry Curry officiating. BURIAL : Valhalla Memory Gardens.
