Ron Bridgewater officiating Sigma Phi Gamma will conduct a memorial service immediately following the funeral service. CALLING: Noon until service time Saturday at the funeral home INURNMENT: Garland Brook Cemetery at a later date MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS: Our Hospice of South Central Indiana through the funeral home Janis Lee Stillinger, 75, of Columbus, died at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, September 17, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Janis was born November 11, 1938 in Indianapolis, the daughter of Walter and Pauline Coverstone Ashworth. She married Larry Lee Stillinger November 28, 1957. Janis started the Manpower Employment Agency in Columbus and was director of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce. Janis held many offices during her 57 years as a member of Sigma Phi Gamma and was president of the Columbus Business Professional Women for three years. She was also a member of the 4-H Fair Board and the Board of Senior Products at Mill Race Center. As a volunteer at Columbus Regional Hospital, she was head of the Information Desk. Janis was very loving and devoted to her family and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dean Roth for his commitment and friendship over the past two years as he visited Janis and administered communion to her. Survivors include her husband; sons, Robert Lee Stillinger of Winchester and David Andrew (Stacey) Stillinger of Columbus; daughters, Leesa (fiance, Dean Floyd) Koopman of Columbus and Amy (Gregg) Neale of Auburn Hills, MI; a brother, Edward Ashworth of Columbus, Ohio; a sister, Joanne (Keith) Mitchell of Columbus; grandchildren, Tasha (Donnie) Wymer of Union City, Dustin (finace, Jen Peters) Stillinger of Muncie, Curtis (Whitney) Hartwell of Columbus, Brooke Hartwell of Indianapolis, Wyatt Koopman of Columbus, Elliott Koopman of Columbus, Chris Neff of Lake Orion, MI, Sarah (finace, Steve Paisley) Neff of Clare, MI, Chadd (Lisa) Neale of West Bloomfield, MI, Adam Neale of Troy, MI, Ethan (Kate) Stillinger of Charlotte, NC, Kendra Stillinger of Columbus and Parker Stillinger of Columbus; and great-grandchildren, Tevin Marshall of Union City, Mallory Wymer of Union City, Aden Stillinger of Muncie Sabastain Hartwell of Columbus, Sawyer Hartwell of Columbus and Markus Neff-Paisley of Clare, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Caleb Stillinger.

  1. I have many fond memories of our fun time together in all Lambda activities, Conventions etc. She was a kind & gracious lady – Heaven will welcome her. My Sympathy to all family & friends.
