Jaxon Dale Ashpaugh, 2 ½ months, of Elizabethtown, died at 10:33 a.m. March 31, 2019, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Jaxon was born January 15, 2019, in Seymour, the son of Joshua Dale Ashpaugh and Jessica Julene Mozingo.
Jaxon loved to smile and giggle, and was greatly loved by everyone in his family.
The funeral will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2019, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Coon officiating. Calling will be 5 p.m. until time of service Friday.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice of charity or to Jaxon's Family.
Survivors include his parents; brother, Colten VanArsdale and a sister, Jasleyn Danielle Ashpaugh, both of Elizabethtown; grandparents, Tim (Rhonda) Blandford of Seymour and Wendy (Doug) Perry, David Lee Ashpaugh and Jeff (Donna) Mozingo, all of North Vernon; great-grandparents, Janet Wiley, Rex (Rachel) Perry and James Staples; great-great-grandmother, Adele Ashpaugh; along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

I am so sorry to hear about the death of your son Jaxon, We don’t understand why things like this happens to a child so young. I believe every infant taken out of this world is being saved from something far worse, we might never know. He’s in the arms of the angels now safe from all harm.
My prayers and my family’s prayers are with you and your family. When a little one gains their wings so early it is so hard for the ones left behind to absorb. My prayers are for peace and patience for all of you as God carries you through this.
I don’t know you or baby Jaxon but I do know at this moment God our Father is wrapping His loving arms around you through this devastating chapter of your journey. I can’t imagine the grief and heartbreak you are feeling. I ran across your video on Facebook and it broke my heart for you.
