Jean Marie Bunton October 18, 1920 - September 23, 2005 Jean Marie Bunton, 84, of Kyte Street died at 2:05 a.m. Friday, Sept. 23, 2005, at Columbus Health & Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Bunton began her teaching career as a substitute teacher, taught music on the elementary school level and then taught special education for Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. until retiring in 1985. She was an active member of Free Methodist Church where she was pianist and worked in childrens ministries, Womens Missionary Society and the churchs historical society at the local and conference levels. She married Frank Bunton Aug. 23, 1945. Survivors include her husband; a son, Frank Nelson Bunton of Columbus; a daughter, Normajean Bunton of Bloomington; sisters, Geneva Stark of Fort Gibson, Okla., and Lois Reader of Bourbonnais, Ill.; grandchildren, Michelle Tungate and Andrew Bunton, both of Columbus, and Amy Warf of Reidsville, N.C.; and five great-grandchildren.
