Jennifer K. Houchens Young Zapo, 39, of South National Road, died at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013 in Franklin. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Harvey Legget officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from noon until service time Wednesday. Burial will be at Lambert Cemetery in Bartholomew County. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Central Heights of God or the Autism Research Institute. Jennifer loved spending time with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She enjoyed the Latin culture and dancing the salsa. She also loved traveling, cooking and entertaining family. Jennifer was born July 19, 1974 in Columbus, the daughter of the late Lawrence E. Graham and Nettie C. Houchens of Columbus. She married Alberto T. Zapo. Survivors include daughters, Natosha Young-Chevez and Kanesha Young, both of Columbus, Tymesha Young of Louisville, Kentucky, Juana Zapo and Raquel Zapo, both of Columbus; grandchildren, Bryson Young, Christian Young and Annabela Young-Chevez; a brother, Douglas Houchens of New Port Richey, Florida; and sisters, Scarlet Delaney and Lana Miller, both of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her father; grandparents, Edward and Nettie Houchens and Mary Graham; and a cousin, Randy Houchens.
