Jerry enjoyed sewing, gardening and cooking and loved to volunteer at Lincoln Central Neighborhood Family Center. Jerry loved her family, children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. Born in Wheatfield, Indiana, May 7, 1952, Jerry was the daughter of Amos Bailey and Lona Smith Bailey. She married Jackie Combest June 5, 1970. Survivors include her husband; sons, Shawn D. Combest and Scott A. (Jennifer) Combest, both of Columbus, IN; brothers, Rob Shephard, Lacey Bailey and James Bailey, all of Sawyersville, KY; a sister, Cathy Bouff of Paducah, KY; and grandchildren, Dawson A. Combest, Amos G. Combest and Shelby L. Combest. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers

Jack, thought and hugs to you and your boys and the rest of your family, you and jerry were like family to me and you were there with me when Phil was so sick and passed. jerri was a special lady in my life and I looked up to both of you .

I am so saddened to hear of the loss of your mother Shawn… She was a wonderful lady. I just lost my dad in May of last year and it never gets any easier. Keep your family close and faith in god. If there is anything I can do please let me know!
