Jessie Faustina Tanner April 01, 1919 - May 15, 2008 Jessie Faustina Hammond Tanner, 89, of Sumpter Trail died at 3:45 a.m. Thursday, May 15, 2008, at Keepsake Village. Mrs. Tanner was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. Born in Jennings County April 1, 1919, Mrs. Tanner was the daughter of Mark A. and Elizabeth Ferrenburg Hammond. She married John Wesley Tanner Dec. 15, 1937. He preceded her in death June 17, 2000. Surviving are daughters, Patricia A. (William) McKale of Columbus and Bettyrose (Don) Mundy of Colorado; sisters, Pauletta Wilds, Jeanette Tellman and Betty Schooler, all of Columbus, and Rosemary Gaier of California; grandchildren, Kelli Pitman, Lorie Holban, Kristi Fredericks, Lisa Curry, Jackie Fukey and Nina Stevens; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Larry L. Tanner; and a brother, Paul Hammond. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 10 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2008 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Al Styron Jr. officiating.
