Jessie L. "Jess" Parrigin, 76, of Columbus, died at 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2012, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Mr. Parrigin was a farmer and had farmed with his father. He was a member of Revival Tabernacle Church.
Born in Edmonton, Ky., Aug. 5, 1935, Mr. Parrigin was the son of the Jessie Marvin and Sallie Edwards Parrigin. He married Joyce Wilmoth April 15, 1975.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Joey Parrigin of Plainfield; a stepson, Terry Carroll of Kentucky; a daughter, Jessica (Chad) Robinson of Nashville; stepdaughters, Lisa Pickett of Taylorsville, Mary Brummett and Cindy Leon, both of Kentucky; grandchildren, Caden and Zoey Robinson and Jayden, Jazmyne and Jerrica Parrigin; 10 stepgrandchildren; a brother, Albert (Dottie) Parrigin of Columbus; and sisters, Gladys Ziegler of Taylorsville and Joyce Moore, Mary Artis and Carol Deppe, all of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, James and Guy Parrigin.
SERVICES: 11:00 a.m. Thursday May 24, 2012 at Revival Tabernacle Church Clifford, IN
OFFICIATING: Rev. Eli Johnson
VISITATION: 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the church
