A service honoring Jill’s life will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Rust officiating. Friends and family may visit Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Human Rights Campaign (give.hrc.org) or to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (https://donate.lls.org/lls/donate) Jill Ellen Karrer, 43, of Columbus, passed away November 11, 2017 in Indianapolis.Jill was born June 4, 1974 in Piqua, Ohio, the daughter of Michael H. and Carol McClannan Dyer. She married Aaron Joseph Karrer on November 1, 1997.Jill was a graduate of Columbus North High School and Purdue University. As a pharmacist, daughter, and wife, Jill found fulfillment taking care of people. She was a loving mother to her daughter Elise, and a supportive wife to her husband Aaron. Her family will always remember her love of music as well.Survivors include her husband; her daughter Elise Kathleen Karrer of Columbus; her mother Carol Dyer of Richmond, Indiana; a sister Julie A. Dyer of Columbus; her grandmother Margaret McClannan of Troy, Ohio; her husband’s parents Roger and Judy Karrer of Bloomington; a brother-in-law Andrew (Jonnikka) Karrer of Bettendorf, Iowa; as well as nieces and nephews Jace, Adi, Khloe, and Grayson.She was preceded in death by her father Michael H. Dyer; grandparents Eugene McClannan, as well as Howard and Virginia Dyer.






Julie and Carol Dyer, I’m so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you and the rest of Jill’s family at this time. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Love to you both.

We are so sorry to hear about Jills passing. We have many good memories of Jill and Julie growing up in the Westview neighborhood.
