John Michael Martin, 69, of Larkspur Lane, died at 11:03 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation of Columbus. John was previously employed with Aflac insurance for 15 years, as well as STAT Ambulance and Schwan's Food Service. He loved fishing and camping as well as swimming in and taking care of his pool. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Aug. 29, 1942, Mr. Martin was the son of John E. and Martha Happe Martin. He married Jean L. Farvour April 13, 1989. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Jamie RM (Liz) White of Jefferson City, MO; a daughter, Jeanine (Chris) Caudles of Holts Summit, MO; a brother, David Lee (Judy) Martin, Edinburgh; best friends, Bailey and Bandit, his two Pomeranians; seven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents. SERVICES: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday March 27, 2012 at Grace Lutheran Church VISITATION: 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS: Charity of the donor's choice
