John R. Moran passed from this life on Thursday, August 31, in Columbus, Indiana, after battling an extended illness.
John was a beloved son, brother, uncle, dog dad, and friend. He had a quirky wit. He loved music, video games, and movies. John was a collector at heart, especially of Pokemon cards. He loved his friends and family. He always had compassion for the underdog and a heart for those who struggled.
John was born October 23, 1991, in Columbus, Indiana. He graduated from Columbus Christian School and attended Purdue University.
John is survived by his parents Shawn and Pam Moran, his sister and brother-in-law Kelley and Jake Broughton, his niece Audrey Broughton, his grandmother Betty Flowers, his beloved dog Pablo, and a loving extended family.
Family and friends are welcome to attend the visitation and services at Parkside Baptist Church, 1780 Rockyford Rd Columbus, Indiana, 47203. Visitation will be on Friday, September 8, from 4 pm-8 pm. The funeral will be Saturday, September 9, at 11 am with an hour of visitation prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Heritage Fund - Patrick Bowman Memorial Music Fund (heritagefundbc.org).
