John W. Baker, 55, of Vance Street, died at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, March 20, 2016, in Brown County. John was born June 5, 1960, in Indianapolis, the son of John K. and Rosemary Bisel Baker. He loved fishing, was an avid mushroom hunter, loved John Wayne and was a Colts fan. He also enjoyed karaoke, corn hole and playing his guitar. He was a big-hearted man who loved spending time with his grandkids. Survivors include his companion, Regina Baker-Bell; a son, Josh W. Baker of Edinburgh; daughters, Sara (Jake) Baker and Anna Baker, both of Franklin; sisters, Versie (Tony) Krueger of Columbus, Jo Chouinard of Colorado Springs, Colorado , Junie (Jason) Miller of Hope and Luanna "Dooder" (Jack) Conner of Tullahoma, Tennessee; grandchildren, Taylor, Aubre, Lynn and Jordyn; seven nieces and nephews; 21 great-nieces and nephews; and one great-great nephew. He was a dog lover and is also survived by his dog Shorty. He was preceded in death by his father, John K. Baker; mother, Rosemary Bisel Baker Smith; and a brother, David K. Baker.

Thank u everyone who lit a candle for Johnny!! He was/is my brother I love so much. All my life it was Johnny and Junie We always done everything together. Horseback riding ,fishing,running the dogs,playing cards and yes even party together. I know he always had my back I to his! He was the best brother any girl could have. I love and miss him so much. I have reached for the phone many times to just call him like I always have. I miss him so much. Lord plz take care of him and mommy and dad and Dave Johnny I will will b. Here for your kids just like I know u would have been here for mine. When they said ur heart was :times to big I could think of was it had to b big to love the u did. Whole hearted.
