Joseph A. Lewis

  Joseph A. Lewis, 38, of Columbus, died at 10:39 p.m. April 21, 2017 at Columbus Regional Hospital. Joe was born January 21, 1979 in Columbus, the son of Jeff Lewis and Sheri Harber Lewis. He married Monica Stephens Dewitt on June 30, 2014. Joe is loved and he will be missed. He loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed watching movies, having animals, fishing, hunting and dirt bike riding. He was a devoted husband and father who loved his daughter and family very much and worked very hard to care for and provide for his family. His last job was at Quality Machine and Tool. There will be no visitation.   Cremation was provided through the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Joseph A. Lewis Memorial Fund through the funeral home. Survivors include his parents of Columbus; his daughter, Elizabeth Rose “Beth” Lewis of Brown County; brother, Zach Lewis of Columbus; grandmothers, Aleta Lewis of Columbus and Peggy Daugherty of Texas; step grandmother, Carol Harber of Columbus; Aunts, Uncles, lots of Cousins; wife of Columbus; 2 step daughters, 3 step sons and 9 step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Maynard Lewis and Norman Harber.
