FUNERAL: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Rev. Virgil Clotfelter officiating. VISITATION: 5:00-7:00 P.M. Monday, April 14, 2014 at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. BURIAL: Garland Brook Cemetery MEMORIALS: Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Joseph Allen Hassfurder, 58, of County Road 300E, died at 12 p.m., Thursday, April 10, 2014 at his home. He was born in Columbus, July 29, 1955, the son of the late Frances Elmore and Helen Francis Trotter Hassfurder. Joseph enjoyed his guns and antiques. He researched genealogy and often talked with people all over the world on his computer. Joseph was employed for 12 years at Arvin Industries in Columbus and enjoyed working on the family farm. Joseph will be remembered for his love of his precious Tri-colored English Shepherds. He is survived by a brother, George W. (Pamela) Hassfurder of Elizabethtown; sisters, Mary Dawn (Steve) Wilson of Columbus, and Francis Tucker and Judy Mitchner, both of Louisville, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Riley Elmore Hassfurder.

Joseph Allen Hassfurder, 58, of County Road 300E, died at 12 p.m., Thursday, April 10, 2014 at his home.
He was born in Columbus, July 29, 1955, the son of the late Frances Elmore and Helen Francis Trotter Hassfurder.
Joseph enjoyed his guns and antiques. He researched genealogy and often talked with people all over the world on his computer.
