Joyce Ann (Adams) Bruner, 71, of Columbus, passed away at 2:00 p.m. Friday June 23, 2017 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Joyce was born June 13, 1946 in Manchester, Kentucky to the late Clarence Preston Adams and Mary Jane (Asher) Adams. She was married to Kenneth W. Bruner on March 30, 1974 and he preceded her in death on August 16, 2012. She was a homemaker and a member of the House of Refuge Church in Indianapolis. Joyce is survived by her 6 daughters, Jean (Marc) Zink of Baker, FL; Rebecca Bennett of Hilton Head, SC; Michelle Barger of Indianapolis; Lisa (Larry) Williams of Columbus; Kimberly Burton of Columbus and Wanda Bruner of Columbus. She is also survived by 3 brothers, Gene (Lola) Adams, Wayne (Sue) Adams and David (Sarah) Adams, all of London, KY; 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and 2 sisters, Janice Adams and Linda Wood.

Oh mommy I never would of thought that you would be on this. I miss you so much that I’m dying inside, you was my everything and my best friend. I can’t imagine life without you. It doesn’t seem real at all.. but I know you are rejoicing in heaven and you are not in no pain. But mommy I wasn’t ready to let you go. It’s always been you and me. Oh momma how I love and miss you so much.. but I know your in heaven with daddy. I will carry you everywhere I go. Your baby Kimberly Jane
oh grandma i never thought this would come so fast, but no matter what your always gonna be in my heart. It doesn’t feel like your gone but at least your in no pain anymore and your with grandpa. I love you bunches and I miss you deeply. Your youngest grand baby madyson.
Oooh my goodness girls. I had no idea.. I am soooo sorry. When I used to come to her house she lived at cambridge.. I was a Wooten then. Lol. . Last I saw her she gave me her number and address and told me to stop by and I guess life just got in my way.. I loove her sooo much.. she had no idea of how much she helped and encouraged me. .. she was soooo special to me.. I am glad to know she never gave up on GOD so that makes it easier to say I will meet you again some day soon… it’s not good by just see ya soon my friend. I love u girls and I am praying for strength and peace for you all.
Im sorry for your loss. I knew Rebecca during allstar cheer. Our daughters cheered together. Praying for healing and comfort to the family.
