Joyce "Loge" Branum February 20, 1922 - June 27, 2010 Joyce Loge Branum, 88, of Elizabethtown, died at 5:47 a.m. Sunday, June 27, 2010, in Seville, Fla. Mr. Branum was very proud to have been a World War II Army Veteran, serving with the 325th Glider Infantry Division. While in Italy, he was captured by the Germans and was a prisoner of war for almost two years after being forced to walk from Italy to Germany. He loved telling his wartime stories. He also loved to fish, play pool and travel with his son. He enjoyed making homemade wine every year. Joyce loved his grandchildren. Born February 20, 1922, in Barboursville, Ky., Mr. Branum was the son of James Frank and Louisa Farmer Branum. He married Loyal Aileen McCoy February 27, 1947. She preceded him in death. Surviving are daughters, Rosa Lynn (Robert) Easterling, Sandra Kay Branum and Sharon Elaine (Bill) Spaulding; a son, Michael Joyce Branum; grandchildren, Travis (Amber) Easterling, Mark (Stephanie) Easterling, Priscilla (Paul) Petro, Maryca (Bodi) Henry, Dustin and Mike Arbuckle, Shechonia (Cam) Lynch, Crystal (John) Tyler and Beau Branum; 16 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Howard Branum.. He was preceded in death by his wife and a daughter, Betty Jean Branum. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Branum officiating.
