 To view Juanita's memorial video, please CLICK HERE Juanita Mildred Malone, of Elizabethtown, Indiana, passed away at 2:49 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018.She passed in her sleep, at age 90, in the presence of her daughter, Judy. Juanita was born to parents Finley (Ottis) and Pauline Willen of Albany, Kentucky. With a birth weight of only one and one-half pounds she survived to become a blessing to every life she touched. She attended Shipley Elementary School in Albany and went to church at Caney Branch Methodist, also in Albany.  She later married James E. Malone and had four children of her own, James E. Malone Jr., Kathryn Sue, Judy Carolyn and John David Malone. She moved with three of her oldest children and husband James to Columbus, Indiana, in 1950. Her youngest son, John David, was born in Columbus in 1951. She worked at Arvin Industries, on 15th and Central Avenue, until they closed their doors and went on to work at R.C.A. in Bloomington, Indiana, where she then retired in 1972. She enjoyed music played by relatives at get-togethers, time spent with family, cooking and laughter. She cared for all those around her and asked little of others. She will be sadly missed and affectionately thought of by all that knew her. She was a true blessing to all. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2018, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Rev. Virgil Clotfelter officiating. Visitation will be Friday 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Saturday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Memorial donation can be made to Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home to help with final expenses. She is survived by three sisters, Betty Sue (Kenneth) Fields, Wilma Dean Birdine and Colene (Doyle) Rich, all of Columbus; children, Kathryn Sue Redwood of California, Judy C. Bryant of Columbus and John David Malone of Elizabethtown; grandchildren, John George, Steve George, Shelly Malone, Jason Malone, Mike Malone, Justin D. Malone, James M. Malone, Shanon Carman and Lisa Wright; great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and; great-great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Finley and Pauline Willen; brothers, Rev. Prentis (Bud) Willen and James H. Willen; sisters, Mary Ferril, Imagene Alexander; son, James E. Malone Jr.; Husband of 68 years James E. Malone Sr.; and daughter-in-law, Ruthie Jean Malone.
