Judy G. Cox, 59, of Iris Street, died at 3:50 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 25, 2011 at her home. Judy spent her life giving to her family, church, neighbors and community. She was a servant of God who wanted to help others. Judy spent many years fostering children and was active in her church, serving as a Sunday School Teacher, singing in the choir and played her hammer dulcimer. She lived her life for the glory of God. Judy was born April 5, 1952 in Wichita Falls, Texas, the daughter of William Johnson and Clara Hart Watson. She married J. Dennis Cox Dec. 8, 1984. He survives. Survivors include daughters, Heidi (Kyle) Gulley of Dayton, Ohio and Kelsey Cox of Columbus; son Caleb Cox and Tanner Cox, both of Columbus; grandchildren, Dakota, Sophia and Ian Gulley; brothers, David Johnson of Florida and Carl Johnson of Biloxi, Miss. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Billie Johnson and Lynn Watson and a brother, Eddie Watson. FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Triumphant Baptist Church, 5331 E. 400 S. (Southern Crossing) with Pastor Richard Vogsberger officiating. VISITATION: 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. to service time Thursday, both at the church. BURIAL: Harmony Cemetery in Bartholomew County.
