June E. Dayhoff, 78, of Columbus, died at 9:06 a.m. Friday, February 18, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
June was born March 18, 1943 in New Berry, Indiana, the daughter of Owen Neal and Martha E. (Moore) Beckwith. She married Ed Dayhoff on January 20, 1962.
June was a loving wife and a woman with a heart of gold. She opened her home to her family and friends giving them love, support, food and even money. June was a 36-year Breast Cancer survivor. She was the perfect mother and seamstress who loved to cook and play Bunco and cards. She fought many years of health issues where she was noted to have had 9 lives. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
The funeral will be at 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 21, 2022 at Faith Lutheran Church with Pastor Todd Riordan officiating. Calling will be from 5:00 until service time on Monday at the church. Burial will be at Walker Cemetery, Green County Indiana, at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Faith Lutheran Church in Celebrating of 60 years.
Survivors include her husband, daughters, Kathy Loiuse (David) Dwyer, Carrie (Jason) Shake, all of Columbus; a son-in-law, Nathan Greathouse, of Kentucky; brothers, Bob (Denise) Beckwith, of New Albany; grandchildren, Alisha (Scott) Bowman, Florida, Michael (Melissa) Dwyer of Lafayette, Matthew (Ashley) Dwyer, of Columbus, Edward (Chelsey) Greathouse of Cincinnati, Ohio, Chase Dayhoff, James Dwyer, Elizabeth Dwyer and Caitlyn Shake; great-grandchildren, Zoe Dwyer, Lillian Dwyer, Ella Dwyer, Alana Dwyer, Alexandria Dwyer, Savannah Dwyer, Addison “Edna” Bowman, Aria Bowman, Adalynn “Peanut” (Dayhoff) Dean, and Elric Greathouse.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Greathouse; sisters, Anne Bickley and Patricia Louise Schaeffer; brothers, John Beckwith, Paul Beckwith and Alan Beckwith.
Arrangements were entrusted to Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
