Such a wonderful woman…you will be missed
Prayers for the family. Paulette worked as a dispatcher for the North Vernon city police and lived across from Muscatatuck county park. Me, Ginny Keener, and Paulette always ran around together and always laughed because we were like the Golden Girls we each had one of their personalities. We use to take off work and head to Tunica and spend a few days our traveling song was Bang on the drum all day by Todd Rundgren. One story I want to share with you. A guy walked into the police station and ask Paulette what there was to do he worked in Scipio and had just moved here and she talked to him awhile. The next day he came back and ask her out and she said okay. She went out a few times and of course Paulette was always herself and just couldn’t get him to tell her where he worked in Scipio. Just happened to go to the Methodist church one evening and low and behold there was her date behind the pulpit. I came back and told her I thought she was going to have a heart attack! You mean I been out drinking, smoking and saying things I shouldn’t your kidding right; nope; oh my I’m going to have to apologize to him. I told her he didn’t tell her because he didn’t want her to act differently about her. We laughed about tha a lot over the years. Will miss her dearly but memories will always be special.
