SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Graveside Services Thursday June 27, 2013 at Bethel Baptist Cemetery MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS: American Cancer Society or the Bartholomew County Humane Society Karl E. Miller, 72, of County Road 400W, died at 1:35 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2013, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. Karl served in the United States Army as a heavy truck operator. He was a Remove-All and Rumpke mechanic for more than 35 years before retirement. Born in Hope May 26, 1941, Karl was the son of James W. Miller and Mildred Shinolt Miller. He married Karen Rae Beatty Nov. 24, 1975. Survivors include his wife of 37 years; sons, George Craig (Crystal) Miller of Illinois, Karl Edward (Florence) Miller, William Ray Smith and Norman Lynn Crossland, all of Columbus, IN; brothers, Everett (Cathy Foist) Miller and Verne (Debbie) Miller, both of Columbus, Dwight "Doc" (Rita) Miller of San Leon, TX, and Steve (Teresa) Miller of Santa Fe, TX; sisters, Carolyn (Dan) Singleton of Columbus, IN, and Melvina Wooten of Grammer, IN; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; an aunt, Mildred Shinolt of Scipio,IN; and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Miller of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, George Miller.
