Kathaleen M. Williams November 18, 1910 - October 06, 2009 Kathaleen M. Smith Williams, 98, of Columbus, Indiana, passed away October 6, 2009. She was born in Freeport, Illinois, November 18, 1910, but lived 38 years in Terre Haute, Indiana, 30 years in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and 8 years in Columbus. She worked for Kresge/K-mart for 40 years and was office manager for 30 of those years. She was a member of the Altrusa Club of Terre Haute and Terre Haute Symphony and a 32-year member of Terre Haute First Congregational Church. In Lawrenceburg, she was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, the Elks Ladies, Community Mental Health and Hillforest Historical Society and was a life member of the Underhill Society of America. She is survived by her son, Norm (Beth) Smith of Columbus; her stepson, Dick Williams Jr. of Jeffersonville, IN; two sisters, Shirley Walsh of Batavia, Illinois, and Patricia Harrer of North Canton, Ohio; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Hassee of Greenwood, IN and Carol Tucker of Columbus; five great-granddaughters, Brittany, Mackenzie and Annie Hassee of Greenwood, IN and Emily and Courtney Tucker of Columbus; two stepgrandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the widow of Hiram J. Smith and Richard Williams. Her parents, three sisters and three brothers preceded her in death. Funeral Information FUNERAL: A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 10, 2009, at Asbury United Methodist Church with the Rev. Al Styron officiating. VISITATION: 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. BURIAL: Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Terre Haute, Indiana.
