Katherine Jean Dickerson Mooney April 04, 1920 - April 02, 2009 Katherine Jean Dickerson Mooney, 88, of Midway Street died at 3:20 p.m. Thursday, April 2, 2009, at Columbus Health & Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Mooney was a homemaker and a beautician. She was a member of the Methodist Church and enjoyed quilting. Born in North Vernon April 4, 1920, Mrs. Mooney was the daughter of James A. and Anna Johnson Dickerson. She married Lowell A. Mooney June 30, 1953. He preceded her in death Sept. 19, 1982. Survivors include sons, Lowell A. (Joyce) Mooney Jr. of Lacey, Wash., and Chris T. Mooney of Atlanta, Ga.; daughters, Sharrell Mattox of Columbus and Linda A. (William) Lacefield of Greenwood; grandchildren, Tina Hill, Maria Mattox, Zachery Lacefield, Courtney Klingensmith, Eric and Savanna Mooney, Rhonda RedBear and Tracy Ashley; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one great-great-grandchild; eight brothers and sisters; and a stepdaughter, Joyce Stillings. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 1 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2009 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Virgil Clotfelter officiating. VISITATION: 11 a.m. until service time Monday.
