Katherine Marie “Kathy” Taflinger, 47, of La Vergne, TN and formerly of Columbus, passed away Wednesday November 11, 2020. She was born January 24, 1973 in Columbus to Larry Coffey and Rosetta “Rosie” Burton Coffey.
Kathy was a loving mother and grandmother who was loved by many.
Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday November 20, 2020 at Jewell - Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Archie Taflinger, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until the service at the funeral home.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Scott Taflinger of La Vergne, TN; son Robert D. (Leslie) Coffey of Edinburgh; daughter Cierra J. (Reon) Lanier of La Vergne, TN; mother Rosie Richards of Columbus; father, Larry Coffey; step son, Gage Dooley; step daughters, Katelyn Mings and Nicole Taflinger and several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bruce Burton and Lena Bragg.
Due to the new mandate limiting gatherings to 50 people, visitors are required to wear face masks and maintain social distancing. We encourage you to share your support with the family, being cognizant that others wish to do the same. You may be asked to wait outside the building as we comply with this mandate.
