Kathleen Marie Roberts Brockman
May 23, 1941 ~ October 6, 2022
Kathleen Marie Roberts Brockman, 81, of Nashville, Indiana, passed away at Brown County Health and Living on October 6, 2022. Kathleen was born on May 23, 1941 to the late George Raymond Roberts and Wanettia Cumming Roberts.
Kathleen will be remembered as a very loving, kind, and generous person. She would often give to those who were in need before giving to herself. Kathleen would give everything to everyone if she could. She retired from the Post Office in the early 2000’s after spending many years being a mail carrier. Kathleen loved her job, as it allowed her to interact with a variety of people on her route. In her spare time, she enjoyed mushroom hunting and watching the Antique Roadshow. Most of all, Kathleen loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. They were the most important thing in her life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her spouse, Joseph Brockman, of Columbus, Indiana; son, Thomas Brockman, of Columbus, Indiana; daughter, Sheila M. Bostic, of Brown County, Indiana; sister, Betty Cravens, of Brown County, Indiana; 14 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents, George and Wanettia Roberts; her son, William Joseph Brockman; her daughter, Sheri Wooten; a brother, Jack Roberts; as well as her sister, Lois Smith.
The funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 10, 2022 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Jeremy Seward officiating the service. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service, also on Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.

Kathy… You helped make forever memories for my children when we visited in Indiana after a long drive from California to visit with the Brockman Family. When they reminiss about those trips they always talk about the fun at your farm as a big part of those memories. God has welcomed you home …. Jim & Martha Jansen

Mom l love so much. I’m so lucky to have had as my mother. I know your not hurting no more and I’m happy for that but that happiness is submerged deep in a sea of sorrow that no words describe. I feel like a part of me has died. Please look out for me up there in heaven. I need ya now more then ever it feels like and this life has once again kicked me when I’m down. I’m sopost sharing a memory so here’s one of many. You car you delivered mail in alternator had went out and so we decided you would pull me in my truck and I would drive your car because it wouldn’t run you had no power steering and no power brakes. So we hooked the tow strap and away we went. It was right about the time they had put in the new arched bridge at 46 and 65 and the lights where confusing to everyone and that even just dark you pulled me threw the intersection as ran a red light and it seemed like had cars and trucks from every direction trying to keep from hitting you only to realize that there was car tethered to the truck they where trying so hard to avoid. But we made to Huckabee Auto Electric and dropped your car off. I miss you momma
I am so sorry for your loss. Kathy was my boss at Video Memories, I was the manager for 10 years. We had a lot of laughs together and I remember our trips to Ky. To the Video show, we had to tell Kathy we were leaving at 6 am to get her there by 8 am. May you RIP Kathy, my friend.
