Kathy Jo Jeffries, 66, of Springfield, MO, died in the afternoon, on August 21, 2019, at her residence. Kathy was born July 25, 1953 in Columbus, the daughter of James R. and Judith R. (Schuder) Hill. She married James R. Jeffries on January 4, 1974. Kathy lived in Columbus most of her life but the last 3 years resided in Springfield, Missouri. She was a Phlebotomist at Columbus Regional Hospital. Kathy was an avid collector of African violets, orchids and succulents. Kathy enjoyed quilting, crocheting, sewing and travel. The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Ancel Harden officiating. Calling will be from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 26, 2019 at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery. Survivors include her mother, Judith R. Hill; daughters, Kristen R. (Jason) Mackey and Kelli Jo (Caleb) Hacker, both of Columbus; a brother, Mark Hill of Columbus; a sister, Karen S. (David) Dugan of Columbus; grandchildren, Lauren O. Mackey, Lillian R. Mackey, Kaeleigh Jo Hacker, McKenna L. Hacker; nephews, Matthew (Jen) Dugan and James Hunter Hill. She was preceded in death by her father, James R. Hill.

  2. Kathy is a kind, loving and compassionate person her and my mom(Beverly Coon) worked together at the hospital so we’ve known her for many years. I had recently just connected with her on messenger and did some catching up. It sadden me to hear if her passing but I pray you can CELEBRATE HER HOME. Her and mom have reconnected again with friends from the hospital past.
