Kathy Lynne Burns, age 57, of Columbus, passed away Wednesday evening July 20, 2022, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. She was born November 6, 1964, in Columbus and has been a lifelong Columbus resident. Kathy was employed at Mitsubishi as a quality control technician. Kathy loved spending time with her daughters, and all of her grandkids. She enjoyed watching her grandkids participate in sporting events, and cheering the loudest in the stands. Kathy also enjoyed her yearly trips to Florida to enjoy the beach, and Taco Bell. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Monday, July 25, 2022, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with John Lortz giving the eulogy. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 pm on Sunday, July 24, 2022, and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Kathy to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana through the funeral home. Kathy is survived by her daughters, Amber Bryant of Columbus and Miranda (Jacob) Colvin of Edinburgh; her mother, Mary Jane Estes Lewis; brothers, Marty (Donna) Burton, of Whiteland, Jörg-Stefan Schmitt, of Germany; sister, Christine Brown, of Washington; grandchildren, Braydin (Saylor) Clark, Malachi Clark, Keylynne Clark, Amberlynne Colvin and Chandler Colvin and great-grandchild, Oliver Finnlee Clark, along with all of the extra children she’s added over the years. She was preceded in death by her father, Hyman Burton; her companion, Edward Henderson; grandfather, William Clay Estes; grandmother, Dorothy Mae Martin Estes; great-niece, Anya Jayd Brower; her stepfather, Jack Lewis; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.   2. I worked with Kathey years ago when she worked at NTN in quality. She was always so kind and could make anyone laugh. My thoughts our with her family. Rest in peace Kathy.
