Kelly J. Brown September 10, 1964 - September 09, 2009 Kelly J. Brown, 44, of Maple Street died at 2:08 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009, at Scott County Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg. Kelly graduated from Columbus East High School in 1982. She then attended Indiana University Bloomington Campus as well as IUPU Indianapolis campus. She was employed by various health care facilities as a QMA and previously been a pharmacy assistant at CVS Eastbrook.The last nine years she was employed by the Columbus Component Group. Kelly was a member of First Christian Church and loved being with her family, friends and neighbors. Born in Columbus Sept. 10, 1964, Mrs. Brown was the daughter of Gene O. and Glenna J. Russell Brown. She is survived by her parents, of Columbus; a son, Zachary R. Smith of Columbus; a grandmother, Martha J. Russell Moore of Columbus; a brother, Robert E. (Betsy) Brown of Columbus; and aunts and uncles. Dan and Jennifer Crabtree, Bill and Nan Russell, Jadden and Vicki Nentrup, andThomas L. and Deborah A. Purcell. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Glenn P. Russell and Otto F. and Bernetta D. Purcell. Funeral Information FUNERAL: 1:30 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2009 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Dean Mathis and the Rev. Kevin Cherry officiating.
