Kelly Sue Helander

Kelly Sue Helander, 57, of North Vernon, died at 8:53 a.m. on January 26, 2024, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital – Indianapolis. She was born September 4, 1966, in Bedford, Indiana the daughter of Larry and Karen (Grissom) Edwards. Kelly Sue Helander, beloved mom, daughter, and sister, led a simple life where she enjoyed visiting the local library and community events such as free concerts in the parks. She loved to sing silly songs with her family and friends. Survivors include mother, Karen Edwards; son, Matthew Helander of Seymour; daughter, Laura Mundy of Clarksville; brother, Kevin Edwards; sister, Kathy Jo (Ryan) Colvia of Columbus; grandchildren, Gavin Livingston and McKenzie Alexander. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Edwards; husband, Ralph Helander; and sister, Laura Lynn Edwards. Per the request of the family, cremation was chosen.
